What we care for
New life for children, in a new land
This JPS street light had been broken for over 20 years so this is where we decided the change will start. Since then, we have installed various light throughout the community. To get things started, Big Vice and I purchased the light and approached our councilor Tony O’Conner and a member of the community who is a certified electrician (Busher) to have a JPS worker come install it. We then proceeded to raise funds from various members of the community locally and abroad. Now we have solar lights in places where it was pitch dark. The solar lights are a big benefit because when current is gone, we still have light in our community.
A new future for exploited children
This canal is one of three that was well needed because the water had no where to go so it dug up the road. Making this canal was vital to improving the longevity of the road once it was paved.
Bringing dreams within reach for children
This video is about an elderly person in the community that had a dilapidated face in the center of the neighborhood. This elderly man has financial difficulties and was unable to repair his fence on his own. The group decided to take matters in their hands and repair the fence for the fence for him and beautify the community at the same time.
Bringing dreams within reach for children
This is the biggest project the group has taken on. This lane has been a nuisance for the people living on Junior lane for over 50 years due to the constant flooding with heavy rain. The solution we came up with was to build a bridge and canal to channel the water. Since the completion of the bridge and the canal, the flooding has reduced tremendously and in most cases no flooding at all.
